Mekhi Phifer and Zoe Kravitz will be in the upcoming Sci-Fi Action Thriller Divergent. The film's release date is March 21, 2014.

Andre 3000 Starring as Jimi Hendrix

                                                                                                                   Andre 3000 who is best known for being one - half of the legendary rap duo outkast will be appearing as Jimi Hendrix in the film All Is By My Side. The Film will be premiering at the Toronto Film Festival.

I tried my best to find of trailer of the film but I didn't have any luck. I hope the film does well and I hope it will hit theaters in the U.S. very soon.

Some other films that will be premiering at the Toronto Film Festival include 12 years a slave, Mandela Long Walk to Freedom, Prisoner, Khumba, Half of a Yellow Sun, and 1982

Evan Ross added to the Hunger Games Trilogy movie

Evan Ross has just been cast as messalla in the third installment of the Hunger Games series movie Mockingjay. The film is slated to be released in November 2014.

JAMES BROWN BIOPIC COMING TO THE BIG SCREEN

Actor Chadwick Boseman who starred in the hit film 42 The True Story of an American Legend has just been cast to portray the legendary soul singer James Brown in an upcoming film. 

I can’t wait to see this film I hope Chadwick Boseman will be true in his portrayal of the Godfather of Soul.

Spike Lee Interview on reaching Kickstarter Goal

Director Spike Lee recently reached his goal of raising $1.25 million. He raised $100,000 more than his goal.

Spike says that people were not donating they were pledging. What ever a person gave they got something of equal value in return.

He says that he would not have been making films for over 27 years if every time he did something that people did not like he would run and hid and not make art.

I really love that statement from Spike because we often worry to much about what others think. It is a balancing act by trying to reach your goals and also take constructive criticism.

T.V. Show For Better or For Worse

Yes!!! Finally one of my favorite T.V. shows is finally coming back with a brand new season, Tyler Perry's For Better or For Worse.  Now I'm not usually a big fan of Tyler Perry's recent T.V. Shows but I LOVE this show.

I like this show because it different, for Tyler Perry's other shows. It's Funny, It's Grown and Sexy, It's thought provoking on love, and relationships. I love all of the characters but my two favorites are Angela played by actress Tasha Smith and Marcus ex - Kiesha played by actress Kiki Hayes.

The new season begins Wednesday September 18, 2013 9/8c on OWN. Check your local listings. Please check this show out if you haven't already or get reacquainted with the show.

Actor Lee Thompson Young found dead in his Apartment

                                                                                                                   

 Actor Lee Thompson Young best known for his role as Disney's "The Famous Jett Jackson" was found dead today by his landlord due to an apparent suicide.  When the actor did not show up for work today on the set of “Rizzoli & Isles” staffers became concerned and got in contact with Young’s landlord.

Some of Lee Thompson Young’s credits include; The Famous Jett Jackson, Akeelah and the Bee, The Hills Have Eyes II, Friday Night Lights, and Rizzoli & Isles.

What was this up and coming actor going through to make him take his own life. Is the Hollywood life really that tough?

Young leaves behind his parents Velma Young and Tommy Scott Young. He was a great actor and will be deeply missed.
